Hints and Tips -

The "Start" Menu - just called "The Menu"

    The 'Start' Menu
On the left is the menu - as seen in the WindowsXP look-alike "theme"; it can be operated by clicking anywhere on the desktop (except, obviously, on an icon!).

It can also be started from the "Menu" button on the taskbar.

We show the "default" theme (colour scheme, if you like) first, and below it the equivalent one in the system's "WindowsXP theme".

The taskbar can be located at the top or the bottom of the screen, but not on the right or left.

Actually, I've never seen anyone use the side of the screen for the bar; there are two important reasons...
first it takes too much room off the side of the screen,
and second, there is far less space available for the programs (applications) that are running.

While the order of the "departments" on the menu may be a little different from what you are used to, they are probably more logically laid out, and noticeably fewer clicks are needed to get to the one you are after.

Please click on the links below to look at each menu item in more detail, in a seperate window. The page will load faster that way.
