Hi guys,

I have just uploaded drawswf.pup to MU's PSI repository, so you should soon be able to download the program. It is a Java-based flash animation creator that saves in SWF format.

You will need the Java Runtime Environment (Jre1.5.x.xx) installed as well. Look under "Libraries" in the PSI repos.

Happy flashing ... er ... flash animating! Very Happy

Cheers

Hello Everybody,
Installed drawswf and dragged the startup file and Icon on to the desktop.
When i click on the Link on the Desktop nothing Happens.
But if I go to root/usr/local/drawswf/drawswf and click on the startup file there the program works?
Normally this hasn't been a problem in the past when I have dragged a startup file and Icon on to the desktop.

Hi John,

Problem is this isn't a normal application. It is Java-based and requires the executable and the Java .jar file to reside in the same location. I tried to create a script that would call the startup file from the same location as the .jar file and that still didn't work. Sorry.

Hello WhoDo,
By Luck I fixed the problem.
I also fould that the exe (sorry to use a window term!) had also been installed in root/usr/local/bin/drawswf and dragged that exe to my desktop and it now works!

As I am writing this from Work and not home I hope "bin" was right.
If I am wrong look through all the folders in /local except for the drawswf
folder until you find drawswf in one of them and drag it to your desk top.

Learning more about Linux with Puppy than all the other distro's I've tried.
